Flying Stars Feng Shui
The Flying Stars Feng Shui are part of the Compass School system and account of 10% of a Feng Shui survey. It is the most accurate analysis in Feng Shui as the readings are precise and personalised for each property. The Flying Stars method uses building orientation, numerology,
the Lo Shu Square
and the time factor to analyse your property. The Lo Pan Compass is used to take readings of the site (rear position of the property) and the facing (180 degrees from the rear position). One of the layers on the Lo Pan Compass is divided into 24 Mountains, with each sector holding 3 mountains. E.g. the South sector holds: Yin Fire, The Horse and Yang Fire. To take a reading for the Flying Stars, the exact mountain must be read. An example would be: Site Position - 180 degrees - Horse – South – 9 Lo ShuFacing Position – 0 degrees – Rat – North – 1 Lo Shu Once the calculations for the property’s orientation have been determined, each sector holds a sequence of 5 numbers (Stars): | Lo Shu Star | Permanent/Original Star | | Fate Star | Current Fate (changes in 20 year periods) | | Site or Mountain Star | The past | | Facing or Water Star | The future | | Annual Star | The yearly influence |
Here is an example of a floor plan showing the sectors for this particular property:

Here is the same example highlighting one sector, which shows ‘Double Earth Mother Stress’. This is an unfavourable sector for the literal Mother of the household (the main female or the actual mother). The combination of stars create heavy Earth which are known to have a negative effect on the Mother figure. The suggestion here is to fill the room with the Metal Element; white and metallic colours and metal objects.

The Flying Stars is a complex and in-depth tool which highlights favourable and unfavourable areas. The Feng Shui Consultant makes suggestions on these areas based on their observations and calculations. Recommendations are generally made using the 5 Element Theory (wood, fire, earth, metal, water).
There are several types of Flying Stars Feng Shui, all using the same principle. In particular I practice the Yeun Hom Flying Stars for the 8 North East Fate, Period Flying Stars 1996 - 2016.
