About me

So this is about me, a Dublin Feng Shui Consultant. For those of you who are keen environmentalists, you may know me as an Holistic Interior Designer/Interior Architect. As a professional designer with over 11 years in the interior design industry, I have always been aware of how important our surrounding environment is. The influence that space, colour, shape, texture and form have on your health and wellbeing. Or how an understanding of the natural environment, surrounding landscape, natural light, solar gain and building orientation are integral parts of architecture and interior design.

I first encountered Feng Shui on an academic level during my studies in interior design & interior architecture. My advanced project for my Bachelor of Arts degree was based on a major commercial build, holistic & eco interior design principles and '3 Gate Chi' Feng Shui. I found Feng Shui intriguing and inspiring as everybody does. I collected as many books on the subject as I could and over the years I thought to myself, wow this is really it!

So there was my first mistake, that wasn’t really it at all. I had only scratched the surface, no not even that, more of a bump. Authentic Feng Shui is more than can be read in a book, a bit of salt here, Bagua mirrors there, wind chimes by the door or realising your toilet is in the relationship corner. Somehow through Westernisation, the truth has become clouded.

If the majority of Feng Shui Consultants are doing just that, then surely that is authentic? Not quite so. It was that very thought that led me in search of the answer. And so after further professional practitioner studies through The Feng Shui Society in London I found the very thing that had intrigued and inspired me years before:

We are surrounded by the environment, landscape and space.
It’s how we fit into it that matters, not how it fits us.

The earth was here before mankind, and so we should respect it, for all it has given us. We are guardians of this planet and the land we live on, not the owners. This is what lies at the centre of Feng Shui.

As a professional Feng Shui Consultant, accredited by the Feng Shui Society, my aim is to bring authentic Feng Shui practices to Dublin, to raise the profile of the industry and the very true nature of living in harmony with the land.
